Recently, a number of clients of The Johnson Partnership’s Chesterfield office have commented that John Wilford, Denney Lau and Katie Fowkes are providing a Rolls Royce service.

Our convenient offices, looking out over Chesterfield’s main shopping thoroughfare, have proved a welcome dropping off point for many on their way to the Magistrates’ Court or the police station.

Long office opening hours between 08:00am and 6:00pm ensure that those who need to attend Chesterfield Magistrates’ Court, Buxton Magistrates’ Court, Chesterfield Police Station or Buxton Police Station can find advice and assistance even though they are in full time employment.

John, Denney and Katie are all committed to providing a highly personalised service for Derbyshire people who find themselves caught up in the Derbyshire criminal justice system.  The needs of each clients are evaluated and the appropriate service provided, be it a lift to the court door or the rearrangement of a police bail date to fit in with work or family commitments.

A number of clients have recently reported that the service they receive is little short than that expected from that other famous Derbyshire market leader: Rolls Royce!

A recent change in policy by Nottinghamshire Police and the Nottingham and Mansfield Magistrates’ Courts have seen clients accused of committing offences in the Hucknall area having their cases heard at the Magistrates’ Court in Nottingham rather than Mansfield.
Confusion reigns as clients find themselves detained and questioned in one place, only to be bailed or remanded to an entirely different Court.
In an attempt to overcome confusion and logistical difficulties The Johnson Partnership have committed to assist clients if they find themselves in difficulty by  arranging transport from the Hucknall area.  Clients answering bail at Mansfield Police Station or the Nottingham Magistrates’ Court can phone ahead of time to the Mansfield office to make suitable transport arrangements.
Louisa Treharne, Andy Bostock, Abbie Edwards, Yvonne Wragg and Annabel Hayes are all keen to ensure that new and old clients alike don’t find themselves disadvantaged by the changes in Court policy.
Only The Johnson Partnership Solicitors Mansfield office has so far gone public in offering this commitment and assurance.

NEW FACES AT THE JOHNSON PARTNERSHIP DERBY OFFICE

Theo Addae celebrates ten years at The Johnson Partnership with a move to head up the Derby office with Tim Smith.

During the winter of 2011/12 Theo Addae, a vastly experienced Magistrates’ Court advocate has moved to the Derby Criminal Solicitor Scheme.

In 2010 we were delighted that Theo agreed to become The Johnson Partnership’s first black Partner.  His excellent reputation as a criminal solicitor providing quality service at the police station, the crown court and before the magistrates mean that Theo is a superb addition to The Johnson Partnership’s Derby team.

Theo is keen to ensure that from our Derby office The Johnson Partnership provide access to justice for people both in Derby city and in Derbyshire who find the police, the courts and solicitors’ officers daunting places to visit.

Theo is an experienced and skilled Criminal Defence solicitor and is also a Higher Courts advocate.  His arrival as part of the Derby setup means that there are now ten criminal solicitors regularly working both between the Derby and Chesterfield offices of The Johnson Partnership, providing a comprehensive service to clients requiring the advice of a solicitor from Buxton to Swadlincote.

From 1st January 2010 we have been pleased to include among our team at The Johnson Partnership, Mr John Wilford.

After many years as a Partner at an established North Midlands firm, John has agreed to head up our Regulatory Team.

Increasing number of clients face difficulties either in the courts or in front of Regulatory Bodies, even though they have never come face to face with a police officer nor a member of the Crown Prosecution Service.

Disciplinary proceedings by professional bodies, prosecutions by local governments, central government and European agencies, proceedings initiated by HM Revenue & Customs, the Serious Fraud Office, the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency, the Environment Agency, the Security Industry Authority, the Health & Safety Executive and endless Trading Standards departments fall well within the remit of John and his team.

Working in both Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, John is able to provide top quality local advice to clients either at our offices or at their own premises.

An added bonus for us all has been the chance to discover that John is one of the most friendly, approachable and entertaining people we have ever had the pleasure to work with.
