Legal Aid is government funded legal assistance to help people protect their basic rights and get a fair hearing, access the court process to sort out disputes and solve problems that contribute to social exclusion.

There are different eligibility rules for different types of proceedings. Legal aid is always free at the police station. At the magistrates and Crown Courts it is means tested. We will always advise you on that before incurring any expenses on your behalf.

If for any reason you do not qualify for legal aid we will be able to quote you for doing the work privately. We are extremely competitive with our rates, and if you win you may be able to get some or all of your money back.
